"VNIINM, JSC" scientists are engaged in key research and production projects of Rosatom State Corporation aimed at maintaining the principles of sustainable development, including improvement of nuclear-fuel cycle closing technologies, creation of «tolerant» ATF fuel of new safety generation, implementation of large-scale projects on decommissioning of nuclear legacy facilities.
The laboratory of instrumental control methods and the laboratory of the environmental and radiation safety group are permanently operating on the territory of the institute, providing permanent industrial environmental control.
"VNIINM, JSC" uses a number of proactive measures, including forecasting and assessment of environmental risks, which allows minimizing and controlling emissions of any type of pollutants and waste generation. The measures taken exclude the possibility of negative impact of production activities on the environment, personnel and population.
"VNIINM, JSC" did not record any violations classified within the International Nuclear Event Scale (INES), exceedances of safe and permissible nuclear and radiation safety parameters, accidents and incidents subject to registration with Rostechnadzor when handling ionizing radiation sources.
Social policy
The social policy of "VNIINM, JSC" is implemented in accordance with the Unified Sectoral Social Policy of Rosatom State Corporation.
The Institute implements a number of social programs aimed at supporting employees in difficult life situations and non-working pensioners. In addition, "VNIINM, JSC" organizes sports and cultural events, provides voluntary medical insurance, health resort treatment and accident insurance.
"VNIINM, JSC" regularly rewards its employees for high professional performance and achievements in the scientific field. The merits of the Institute's employees have been recognized with various state and industry awards.
