JSC "Academician A.A. Bochvar High-Tech Research Institute of Inorganic Materials" conducts fundamental and applied research in the field of materials science and creates knowledge-intensive products for nuclear power engineering, aircraft construction, metallurgy, oilfield services, medicine and other industries.
Structural, functional and superconducting materials, as well as equipment for special non- nuclear and isotope products are developed in "VNIINM, JSC". Other important areas of the Institute's activities are the development of technologies for spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste management, return of valuable components to the fuel cycle and waste minimization, as well as decommissioning of nuclear radiation-hazardous facilities.
The Institute is also engaged in solving issues of critical importance for the development of the entire nuclear power industry in the development of closed nuclear fuel cycle technologies.
The research base of "VNIINM, JSC" is a modern materials science and technology and radiochemical complex, laboratories, experimental and production sites equipped for safe work with nuclear fuel, structural and superconducting materials, isotopes, rare earth elements.
